Why are monzo only helping people who are on credit meters and not prepayment meters

Switching prepayment meters to another energy provider is a different and more complicated system to implement.

From the You can now switch energy supplier through Monzo! blog post:

  • If you pay for your energy using a prepayment meter, we won’t be able to help you switch energy supplier through Monzo yet, because the process is a bit trickier behind the scenes.
