Emma Feedback Thread / Q&A

#1138

See Twitter. Some problem, but they’re working on it

#1139

I don’t Twit. I wish companies wouldn’t assume that if it’s posted on Twitter it’s somehow been published to everyone.

This would make Emma pointless, imagine having to log in to every account manually, if it persists I may as well use a spreadsheet!

#1140

It’s definitely a problem. Seems to be the Salt Edge accounts…

#1141

To be fair, they can’t post on every forum

#1142

No, but everyone has the app!

The message implies we’re going to need to manually log in every time from now on.

#1143

Yea, I had the same problem with Virgin last night - looked like I was going to have to log in again every time, but then turns out not.

Some better info in the app for these cases would be great

#1144

Are the Salt Edge integrations only in the TestFlight version at the moment?
If not, it seems to me they are being released too early.

When I was deciding between Emma and other account aggregators, a major reason I chose Emma was because it seemed the sync performance was more reliable than other aggregators. I assume this was due to Emma’s use of TrueLayer - which no other aggregator seemed to use. Hope this doesn’t go backwards with introduction of integrations provided by Salt Edge

I just had it too with my Virgin Credit card. To be honest though, it probably just needs time to sort out the wrinkles. What put me off Yolt at first was was the fact that this kept happening, especially with Sainsbury’s. But now everything is working fine!

#1146

Same issue with capital one, I need to renew my access :frowning:

#1147

Seems to be working fine on MBNA again now

breathes sigh of relief!

(Edoardo Moreni) #1148

Yes, MBNA was our fault. We fixed it.

By the way, if you are on testflight, you will see we have just shipped predictions. Have a go.

ps: the reason behind MBNA was that we shipped something in production last night and broke some stuff. ehehe

(Edoardo Moreni) #1149

Hi @nelliep, I think with Virgin you have the option to deactivate OTP, but we are checking first thing tomorrow with Saltedge.

(Grant MacGregor) #1150

Predictions are a neat feature.

(Edoardo Moreni) #1151

We are also going to predict overdrafts too.

(Grant MacGregor) #1152

Is there any way that I can have more than three subscriptions appear on the feed tab? If not, might be a potential future idea to have your next three subscriptions appear here (then subsequently rotate once it has passed)?

(Edoardo Moreni) #1153

I think we are already doing the second.

(Grant MacGregor) #1154

Not the case for me. Looks like it is generating three random subscriptions.

Not a big issue - thought I would point out though

(Edoardo Moreni) #1155

We can do this, just asked.

#1156

To be fair, regarding my Virgin Credit card, it only did it once. Has been fine since. As I said earlier, I’ve found that whenever a new card is added these problems crop up initially. That said it is good to see such a responsive team at Emma!

Out of curiosity, is there any reason why FinTech apps can’t pull in account info ISA information from banks that you’re already integrated with?

For example, I’ve got a S&S ISA with Barclays and Emma can pull in my current account and savings account, but can’t pull in details of my ISA.

Thanks!
