Here’s a random list to inspire new conversation, sorry if there’s repeats but 260 is a lot of posts to read
- Would you want a simple sign-up system, like bumping phones together (if both have a single acc)
- Do you want to keep your own account or convert it?
- Would you want yours/their/dd filters? In transactions and spending? Joint targets or individual?
- What about notifications?
- Would you want a shortcut to transfer money to/from your personal account?
- Would you want more than two people for an account?
- Would you want rules for pots set up first (so direct debits are more manageable)
- Why are you after joint accounts before overdraft has been fully rolled out and direct debits improved??? Someone is going to forget to top up the account and it will reject a payment and that’s needless hassle.
- Some people split the costs unevenly, should the app help you with that? E.g. a bill comes in, it tells you 70% is this much, tracks for who’s paid in their percentage (optional ofc)
- Would you want individual pots (ordered so yours are shown first, maybe summarised as under Other pots to the others)?
- How is location security affected? Card freezing (would you want the ability to freeze the other’s card [if their card and phone were stolen] - maybe only with their pin)?
