Does anyone use the lock feature on pots and still get tempted to dip into it?

Hi, I was jus let wondering if anyone else uses the lock feature on pots but still gets tempted to spend the money! Or do you use a savings account with another bank to avoid temptation?

If we didn’t suffer temptation then there wouldn’t be a need for locks.

I find the fact that unlocking the pot closes it and moves all the money back to be quite a disincentive, especially for just dipping in

Constantly. I like the way Revolut implement this feature, the saved amount t is hidden from your main day to day screen so it’s easier to forget about the money you’ve saved.

I find that with all my savings - although I find it great being able to see all my accounts on one easy glance - I do find that there are accounts such as locked pots which I could benefit from not seeing … “out of sight, out of mind”

Send the money to me. I’ll set up an account for you, and I can guarantee you’ll never see it again. :joy:

Agreed, this would really help me especially with “round up” saving.

i still have some locked pots but as someone else said was disappointed when they issued keys for the locks :blush:

i liked the challenge of committing the money and pushing myself to save. Generally I still do that but it doesn’t feel the same
