Has anyone heard about Curve’s new crafted card? Thinking that its also going be a metal card but I wonder if there will be additional benefits

No doubt it’ll be tied in with Curve Cashback and maybe more I’d want one but would rather pay a onetime only upfront cost for the Metal Card as opposed to being locked in to a recurring premium subscription offering.

They sent me a survey recently asking how much I’d be willing to pay for a metal card (nothing) and how much I’d be willing to pay to have AmEx attached to my Curve card (nothing).

I had the same or similar survey. It seemed to suggest that there might be a way to “use Amex” everywhere, possibly by loading funds from Amex onto a Curve card which could hold a cash balance and then using the Mastercard everywhere. Sounded convoluted and unlikely to work very well…

Surely with Amex, people are after the points/perks?
The difference in Amex/MasterCard interchange fees would mean that someone’s always going to lose out if you could connect Amex to Curve, meaning that the points/perks would be unlikely to be passed on?

Survey seemed to suggest that a fee would be charged to the user, so presumably to make up the shortfall here.

Appears they still issue a blue and a black card. I thought there was discussion on here that everyone was getting black cards.

And while it looks nice on the front, it’s terrible on the back…
The details are very hard to read in poor light…
Some of my digits already look like they are fading off, making them very very hard to read…
