Yep. The GBIT feature is genuinely unique here.
Unfortunately using go back in time doesn’t retroactively earn you cashback (such as Santander’s cashback offers). Didn’t think to would but was worth a try.
What type of Santander account or card?
I’m pretty sure I’ve read on this thread someone was testing out using a cashback/rewards credit card switching from that to the debit card while earning cashback or points.
Just their regular debit card and it was cashback for a specific retailer.

Curve cards are great. I found mine having glitches all the time though. Would take payments 2 maybe 3 times sometimes then for it to be refunded obviously tool 3-5 days. Contacted curve but they said it was a dodgy card but unfortunately it was enough to put me off. I’ll stick to Google pay.
I’m trying the curve account out now. Got the limited red metal one. Insurance and lounge key are nice touches, but the tools on it are a bit dire frankly.
It’s not limited.
It’s limited to those prepared to pay a huge amount of money for dodgy insurance and little else!
That’s a fair point well made.
Yeh guys. Don’t use Curve. Yesterday when ordering from amazon I got billed twice for one order. There was no refund tho. There was, but like 10% of the original bill for some reason. There is no live chat or something like that, just the plain old e-mail thingy. So you can just sit and wonder what happened there Amazon provided me with the “Authorisation Code” for the charge but in Curve case is that even useful…had this kind of bad experience with them for a long time. I would advise to stick with a normal bank.
Yeh I get this quite frequently in Tesco’s for some reason. I’d say more often than that i’ll use contactless and it’ll say it failed (but I still get charged), I’ll manually put the card in with the pin after and it’ll go through successfully. It takes a few days but I’ll always get the money back.
Never had any issues specific with Curve. Amazon, on the other hand screws up often. Most likely an issue with Amazon, not Curve
Not in this case. Amazon’s billing numbers make sense, but in Curve app I see weird transactions stuff…refunds that make no sense and the amounts that make no sense. Today I got refund from Curve tho, but the app doesn’t reflect those numbers…eh…
Despite Curve’s customer service telling me it wouldn’t work, I can confirm that this actually does work, I just didn’t realise cashback is paid at the end of each month.
I don’t really see how it couldn’t work. As far as the underlying card is concerned the transaction happened when the “go back in time” feature was used. The underlying card has no way of knowing that the original transaction was actually made at an earlier date, charged to another card and then moved to that card
They said they pass across the merchant code which says the type of merchant, not the name of the merchant itself. In this case, the cashback was specific to KFC.
The merchant name is already in the transaction description!
No apple/google pay tho…
They were promising that stuff for ages now…they should have more focused on feature expansion and bug fixes.
