Is that from using Curve Rewards? As I don’t think Curve Cash is available for free users.
Curve Cash can be used as a free user by utilising the methods of gaining it such as Rewards.
You’re absolutely right, I was thinking of the 1 per cent cashback rewards when I said the above.
All my daily (and not so daily) use cards have been commission-free for a while. Monzo, Barclaycard Rewards, Nationwide Credit Card (for the past 9 or 10 years), Starling as a backup… and none ever charged weekend fees.
Curve is late to the game. The only mitigating factor is that I used to be on the (free) Black Legacy plan, and a few weeks ago they turned my account into full Black, but still free of charge, so I get all the benefits of Black for free. I don’t know if this has an expiry date. Is anyone else’s Curve like this?
Yep they’ve moved everybody from the Curve
black legacy to a no fee Curve black subscription. Not bad at all.
I used to be on Curve black legacy plan as well.
They’ve taken away with one hand and given back with the other so I don’t know what to make of the above deal to be honest…Are people better off or worse off?
I’ve had a double charge to my underlying card through Curve - and customer support is non-existent. Don’t know why I still use Curve, they’re awful.
Does anyone know the best route to get my money back, if they never respond to customer support queries?
Contact your underlying bank and report duplicate charge.
And your bank will initiate chargeback.
Does one not show pending in the debit card app?
They’ve confirmed it’s a Curve issue as they’ve got two separate charges
No both debited and cleared.
Luckily I’ve finally heard back from Curve, who reversed one of the charges.
Said the first charge ‘timed out’ so a second was put through but then both were taken.
That’s actually not good advice as any chargeback via the bank will chargeback the nominated card which isn’t what’s needed, the OP will need to (as he did in the end) go via Curve.
When I opened my Curve account, I mispelt my name swapping an e for an r
Today I was offered Curve Flex, and didn’t remember the mistake until adding the new card to Apple Pay
I contacted them (again) to change it, and even though I don’t think i’ll ever use this, do they report to CRAs?
Mine has never shown on CRA.
Does Curve still offer the Fee Free Spending. Been seeing a lot of Curve Cards around on this holiday from British People.
Quite a few Curve Metal Cards which surprised me a little bit.
I have a Curve Flex card I haven’t used but was going to use the Fronted feature with HMRC - it seems like the new card they issue for curve flex is detected as a credit card?
If that’s the Flex card that’s separate from the normal Curve card, then I gather it is a credit card.
Interesting times ahead to Curve.
Always found their card processing times to approval longer than most other cards.
interesting move as they try to become the first apple wallet contender when payment wallets are opened up to third parties due to EU ruling.
The issue is, Curve will be fighting an uphill battle because they’ve cemented themselves as the company that has abysmal customer service if something goes wrong, so are people going to want to use them as their wallet provider?
How many people contact Apple wallet team? Probably negligible, and usually pushed back to card issuer so it’ll like be the same concept as a wallet.
Other paid services may need customer services but they might have common sense to hire more people.
