Both my Tesco and capital one credit cards show transactions instantly in the app
Amex are the ones to beat, cash back and instant notifications. The notifications come through mostly before the website shows it as paid.
Amex fall down on acceptance, it’s far from a deal breaker though. Their App is really good and I’m really happy with them. Nationwide Visa is my fallback card where I also get cash back and free overseas spending, however their app is appalling, it takes days to update the transactions.
Cash back or offers and instant transactions will get my vote.
For me it’s about seeing all my financial transactions in one place and easily paying from on account to another.
