Core Experience Update šŸ“£

I literally unsubscribed to Plus today.
As you can now move Flex/account out from the top, can you now move a linked account to the top pinned area? Or just account and flex for now?

Just tried, can’t move Lloyds to the very top.

So glad to see support for Apple Pay and Google Pay :raised_hands:t2:

Thanks, if there was a linked account refresh choice IE every X minutes it would be good, but unless I did it manually every time I logged in if having pinned to the top it wouldn’t be a great use until real time ish.

I’ve very recently added my mortgage to Monzo so I can keep an eye on it alongside all my other connected accounts in one place, but it’s appearing in the Borrowing section underneath an advert for loans. It would be great if it could reorder so that it shows any of my information before any advertised stuff. I get you’re a bank and you have to make money and I’m happy to be advertised borrowing but it would be helpful to have my existing stuff presented first. It just adds to the length of the scroll and makes it harder to find quickly.

Big fan of vertical pots coming back, which I got today! And hopefully the on the horizon is looking at moving between pots and linking transactions to pots! :crossed_fingers:t2:

You can do this with virtual cards, unlikely to be another solution that undermines the paid way.

Yeah but annoyingly you can only have five virtual cards and I have upwards of 15 pots for various things. The virtual cards work great for automatic subscriptions, so I use for that but it would be good from a tracking point of view to be able to link main transactions. A minor thing in the grand scheme but a gal can hope

Same. Today I’ve been getting a lot of errors on the app too. All saying ā€œSomething went wrongā€:

Same here, and Flex Apple Pay keeps failing. Though physical card is fine.

Wife has just been opted in. And hates it already (activity, all pots together, the same things I hate funnily enough).

But… She chose the basic layout, and wants to try the alternative. But neither of us can find a way to switch layouts. Edit layout only seems to let you edit the layout you have.

Any ideas?

Do you have ā€˜Overview’ in ā€˜Settings → Monzo Labs’?

If you do, disable it or enable it as required
If you don’t, welcome to the only available layout!

I thought that the way that Monzo presented two options up front was neat. But it seems that folk think they’re presets that can swapped between rather than as one-shot starting points for further customisation.

Feels like there are two options:

  1. Change the ā€œchooseā€ option screen to make this clearer
  2. Let users change between presets without having to remember what the other option was like and how to customise to make it happen. (This might be useful as the home screen develops and more complex, or very different, alternatives are available)

Thanks @davidwalton, I discovered that this was possible.

From the basic layout there seemed to be no way to move Joint and Flex back to the top to appear above Activity - they seemed stuck below Pots.

Scroll down and there’s an ā€œedit layoutā€ button, below pots/mortgage etc but above the other links

I’m as guilty of this as anyone, but shall we take this to the App Evolution topic?

(Core Experience is something slightly different, I think).

Thanks @Revels - that didn’t seem to allow me to move the Joint and Flex accounts from where they were stuck right at the bottom.

Sorry that it’s been pretty quiet on our side recently… We’ve been working on some really cool stuff and we’re SO excited to get it in your hands soon!!

Two things we’ve been exploring are being able to split Flex transactions on tabs/bill splits, and also those pesky pot transfers :eyes: Watch this space

Think theres a bug where i cannot have my current account card on the new home as the most front facing (with flex in behind) even changing it in the layout section to show this way doesnt switch them around

I’m not sure if this is core experience, or something more for @TheoGibson and the Flex team, but Flex transactions are missing the date and time from them.

Here’s a Flex transaction:

And here’s a current account transaction:

And for completeness, here’s a connected account one:

Can we have the date and time on Flex please? It’s super useful.

Don’t judge. But it does show on iPhone at the top.
