Core Experience Update 📣

Chrome one of those? Mine works fine.

Only thing I can find to explain its lack of appearance would be the browser needs updating or the Google wallet location set on your account needs changing :man_shrugging:

Yep!

FWIW I have the same issue - no GPay button at the bottom. Using Chrome as a browser and tried Edge too. GWallet set-up correctly (AFAIK) too.

This isn’t correct regarding monzo plus subscription payments?
(Arguement on a Facebook group)

am i missing something, the context?

Someone missed a payment for their monzo plus subscription and was worried about credit reports, and the staff member confirmed it would show on their report, I was checking if that’s actually correct as it doesn’t sound right?

Looks like to me it if you are within the 3 month minimum term it would eventually be an unarranged overdraft report (if those get sent?) on your credit report, not a missed payment one.

I think that the agent is talking about something else - not having the context of the OG facebook post.

Either that or it’s very poorly worded. If it is Monzo plus then I think they are referring to overdraft fees and potential impact there.

Yeah I’m pretty sure it won’t go down as a missed payment on your credit report as the individual rightfully said its not a credit agreement.

It’s the equivalent to not having the funds to pay for Netflix or any other subscription, you will just go into an overdraft whether that is an arranged one or unarranged.

Just popping in to say I’m so pleased Apple Pay is back on Monzo Me. So much easier for friends to pay me back without having to type in card details :credit_card: Well done Monzo!

Mine only shows pay by card on the link. My google pay option is missing too.

Do you monitor user-created threads in the feedback & ideas section of the community (It’s generally not clear if they get noticed by Monzo staff)?

Or is it better to put suggestions in the comments section of threads created by Monzo staff (such as this thread)?

@giorgio since the pandemic we have been conditioned to use QR codes, why can’t we have QR codes that people can scan and then open the relative banking app to do a P2P transfer?

This, it is such a good experience for when you pay someone on business banking, be good to bring it across to the retail banking side of the business

well you see alot of businesses that still use cash take issue with fees, therefore QR P2P is the answer. For example your local chinese

My plumbers has Monzo Business, sends a text with an open banking link, and zero fees later the money hits his bank account

Yea but for both online and offline QR’s are static and don’t require celluar service because you can use wifi.

Oh yeah, but still need service to authenticate the payment?

I feel that QR codes are a bit of a fad and should have been left in 2013  … in-person they’re not too bad apart from the fact a bad actor could replace a QR code with a malicious one, without anyone being able to know!

If someone sent me a QR code via email or message, it’s such a pain to get it decoded through an app - I’d much rather want a link.

As a solution, something like iOS’s AirDrop would be much easier - easily verifiable and almost instant!

edit: Example of someone posting a photo of a QR code online. Unless you had a second device, you can’t easily tell where it actually goes. https://twitter.com/rishisunak/status/1632709965617012737
