I recently used the split bills feature for the first time. The people I was splitting with didn’t have Monzo, yet it worked really well (I was shocked that Monzo actually lets you pay with apple pay in this context! That’s awesome!).
What would make the process even neater would be if I could have let them pay me using contactless phone payments (Google/Apple tap and pay). I suspect this is completely impractical, but if it isn’t, please do it! It would be brilliant!
If this is actually possible but you have an issue with it eating into your business offering, it would be fine if it were only possible with split bills. Though obviously having it for Monzo.me would be great!

They can use Apple or Google pay on the payment link you send them.
I believe Apple Card lets you pay people in a tap.
Sometimes isn’t always practical as the person may not be nearby, they could have also just paid their own share at the point of sale instead of you paying it all.
Not a terrible idea, but the practicality of it doesn’t add up for me.
Some places don’t allow split bills (maybe technically I can insist, but not worth it), so paying at the time isn’t an option.
Not sure I’ve ever seen a machine that can’t take whatever payment is tapped into it.
It’s usually an issue with staff training, than it is ability of the machine.
Recently experienced this issue at a village pub. Usually just requires the person to edit what’s paid by card, like if people pay part card part cash.
