What’s the requirement for that?
You have enough cards.
Never
Deposit of at least £100k
But I want more!!!
oooooo that I can do.
Does it need to stay in there?
Yeah needs to stay in there, or able to save 100k within six months.
An alternative route is to qualify for the lower tier of the Lloyds Private offering, which entitles you automatically to International Premier. This has a requirement of £250k held across LBG products. Obviously this requires a substantially higher total amount, but doesn’t require holding lots of money in a not-very-good-rate offshore savings account - investment portfolios held through Lloyds/iweb/Halifax will count, for example.
noooooo
Does anyone have the Bank Of Scotland Private Banking Card?
Is it any better quality than the standard Lloyds debit cards?
What’s it like on Apple Pay?
Same criteria as for Lloyds, though if you have Lloyds they can just upgrade a BoS account for you if you ask (it’s the same team that handle both products), rather than having to go through the whole onboarding process again. As far as I’m aware there’s no equivalent with Halifax or any other branding.
I wish I wasn’t poor
I read an article around the C Hoare and Co branch the other day in the Times (if you really want to know what a posh branch looks like). In some ways if I did a lot of branch banking I’d be really into that, not that I could afford it.
But then I read 'The Wealth money can’t buy" by Robin Sharma and now I realise that personal wealth (experience, life, happiness etc) will always outstrip material wealth (money in bank)
I always think that’s such bullshit. A lot of material wealth will surely buy you all the experiences, life and happiness you want. I’d certainly be up to try if anyone wanted to conduct a research.
I am a firm believer in money does buy happiness.
It does
I wouldn’t know
But I think I could certainly buy all the happiness I needed if I had a bottomless bank account.
