They used to let you if you phoned them. At the moment I think the policy is that if you are a new customer that lives in England you can’t open an account. If you already have some sort of account with them but live in England you can open a new current account with them.

Me too, but I know swole! Maybe because it’s a US thing? And the younger brits are only now starting to adopt it?
I can’t not see that word and not think of Buzzwole though. A bug type Pokémon which plays on that word.
Caught one in Pokémon Go fairly recently.
