Collected Thoughts on Card Design (Part 2)

It’s a no.

Are they tripping?

Looks like it could be an etching of Saturn with his trademark scythe - anyone know for sure?

I think it’s Cupid with his bow and arrow.

How about this?

My first thought, funnily enough. After a good night’s sleep (now that my eyes are working properly) I can now see the bow’s string, so I think you are correct.

Also I’m now leaning towards a portion of a painting that has been put through a filter to make it look like an etching.

Struggle to get that in my wallet tho

Does anyone have the black metal Revolut card? Is it the same texture as the gold and space grey or is it a rough texture?

The one I got years back was a rough texture and frankly awful, there’s no preview for that card in the app unlike the others.

How do you even get this?

Pretty sure it’s fake.

Some nice ones looking through Google image search though.

I have one for a Joint Account - about two years old. It is slightly rough. Ironically, I have just replaced with an Ultra Platinum for the Joint Account, which is thinner and lighter - but wish I had waited for them to offer numberless as an option!

I’ve the old one somewhere but it’s not the same texture as the silver.

Might get another gold metal as mine is pretty battered, and my space grey.

Google image search brought this up which looks fairly smooth.

Is the metal or ultra card?

Metal.

Ultra is a platinum card but I can’t afford it.

Good to see it IRL. That the tier I might go for when I’m full account

This is the NHS Healthy Start card. It’s got the rarer of the three cut-out styles on the side indicating it is a prepaid card.

The card has pictures of the healthy food that should be bought using it on the front and It’s interesting to see a card issued by ‘the NHS’ (even though it’s technically funded by the Department for Health and Social care and managed by the NHS)

I do not want to buy milk, fruit, or vegetables – can I spend my payment on something else for me or my baby?

If you do not want to buy cow’s milk, fresh, frozen, or tinned fruit and vegetables, you could use your Healthy Start payment to buy infant formula or fresh, dried, or tinned pulses. The Healthy Start card can only be used to buy:

  • plain liquid cow’s milk

  • fresh, frozen, and tinned fruit and vegetables

  • fresh, dried, and tinned pulses

  • infant formula milk based on cow’s milk

How does this work? Is it not just a prepaid Mastercard?
