Collected Thoughts on Card Design (Part 2)

I’d love to know how they work this out. They literally throw credit at me (incl money transfers!) but everyone I know (outside of this forum) gets £250 standard! :person_shrugging:

This is my setup these days, Lloyds and NatWest.

Chase and Monzo left empty, would close but a pain to rejoin if I ever wanted to. AMEX I might close now. Barclays Premier I’ll close when they realise I’ve not paid any money in apart from £12 for the Avios fee.

Will likely swap the Lloyds Ultra for World Elite when I close Barclays to replace the lounge access, if they approve the switch.

Seeing this makes me both miss the FD gold card (still the best) and be grateful I’ve got the grey version of this.

I have had this twice. Will close it again when the current offer expires and I make a return later.

Is it just me but I love the design of this card?

Metal and plastic hybrid like the Platinum card

It has a bit of a rose gold that interacts with the light - I’m saying it looks better than normal gold cards

First post  HSBC Corporate Card (issued in the UK but not by the UK subsidiary - so no HSBC UK logo).

Pretty sure it’s just how the photo is taken but looks like it’s angled.

If standard accounts got rid of the red logo I’d be happy.

Photos of the physical card have now been added to their website. Looks alright.

HSBC standard accounts next :folded_hands:t3:

The one I had about 15 years ago had a lime green core which was pretty unusual at the time.

But that would just be a first direct card basically?

I mean just a revamp of it, or bring back the :lion:

or just make the advance account & card the standard

Two new cards from HSBC Mexico. Neither really following the design language of the new Premier cards (with all the lines).

So probably they haven’t nailed down one design for all their cards, like in the last two designs (lions and then the hexagons)

I asked for a replacement M&S card and they’ve sent me the green design :grimacing:

I mean, it’s just a black card… it’s not really a “design” as such. Get yourself a Sharpie.

Current Apple Wallet is getting a bit out of hand. Primary phone very Amex/HSBC heavy, plus new HSBC HK Premier CC.

Work phone and spare travel phone also have random cards, some useful, some not, some duplicates.

My god, I remember this - I’ve got a dead one in a drawer somewhere, I remember taking the GBP125 M&S vouchers x2 about 15 years ago and never using it again. I’ve still got the tiny keypad security thing they used to use too, in a glass next to my bed :joy:
