I’ve had mixed results. I have used Apple Pay before but I’ve also been asked to use a physical card. I wouldn’t risk completely digital wallets going to a hotel currently. Particularly overseas.

Yeah because you signed up for Zlich Plus. You also had the option of paying £4.99 for the card, without having to join Zlich Plus.
