New to Monzo and going abroad

I am aware that when spending on your Monzo card abroad to make sure you choose to pay in local currency ie Euros. But like in the UK you just tap the card reader, how does this work abroad?
It works in exactly the same way.
Same way as long as they have the hardware to support it.
So make sure you have chosen Euros before you rap your card 
Same, it then usually gives you the option to pay in EUR or GBP
Always choose the local currency.
Never pay in GBP. The conversion is daylight robbery.
