Chase UK Chat (Part 2)

Anyone heard anything about the £100 Amazon bonus for having your salary paid in?

haven’t seen that, but I did get paid a £10 Amazon voucher for making 5(iirc) transactions in December. Voucher code came about a month later?

Wonder if that bring it any closer to launching in the UK - doubtful?

I would say that its probably closer then ever with Chase now running the card’s operations.

JP Morgan Chase have got banking licenses all over the world and of course now does credit and debit cards in the UK.

So with Chase taking over the operations of the Apple Card I would say its a possibility.

Aren’t they just financially backing?

It’ll be interesting to see how it evolves for other markets. 3% Cashback in the UK feels unlikely! Titanium physical card would be nice though.

JP Morgan is doing the issuing and operations of the Apple Card.

I’d say this gives the best chances yet! Wonder how long the whole process would take

Titanium card would be awesome to have!

Only ever owned 1 metal card myself and that’s Revolut Metal.

When I visited are New York office I got to hold one of the Citibank metal cards but it looks like every bank in the US issues a metal card of some kind

Indeed. In the UK the cut that card companies can take it limited to 0.3%, so we won’t see the same kind of cashback.

This GS to JPM switch is rumoured to take 2 years to complete, so I guess we’ll be waiting at least that long

So got the Chase credit card this morning with nice limit. Went to pay for something online and four declines later they still haven’t sorted it.

Had mine since last year and it’s been faultless and handy as a travel card. Fingers crossed they sort out whatever isn’t working for for you soon

Same, was a pleasant surprise.

Although have found it very difficult to convince any of my fiends to sign up to Chase with one of my codes for the £50 quid each

Three days in and the credit card people haven’t sorted out the fraud alert when I try to pay for the British citizenship application. At least when Lloyds tag something as fraud, the person you call can sort it.

@DMc1 tried to sort a held payment and they told them an unknown amount of time before it was resolved, and didn’t want to resolve it over the phone

I put mine on Reddit (before the market flooded with them) and they were all gone in the space of around 7 minutes.

Easy £250.
