Me too. Mine will be going elsewhere. I’m not going to let Chase have my money for a pittance.
thanks for the tip re adding a second account pre cass - did not realise how quick & easy it is
Are you listening, Chase? (4.75% with conditions)
Does spending on the credit card appear in the spending spotlight section?
It does yes
Does that mean you can recategorise etc like with debit?
Yes those transactions have the ‘change category’ button too
It looks like Chase is still getting up with dealing with the clocks changing:
At least the card works but everything should work for a modern fintech.
Have a feeling this is more about “just block this stuff until our engineers wake up to check” than that they’ve managed to build a brand new fintech in a way that this would be an issue, many interesting edge cases to consider I guess though
That would be a considerably worse thing and far far more amateur than if the system they run on couldn’t handle the clock change and needed to do maintenance to go forward. Its a very legacy old bank thing to have outages twice a year to deal with the clocks changing.
I mean, your saying that rather than have the engineers up twice a year (or some working 24/7) for the clock change and paying the overtime (they would still have to get up early Sunday to check it all before normal service at 7am) they decided to just stop the service for 8 hours, that would be insane.
Or their system cant handle it and there is a process that they have to deal with and check causing an 8 hour outage.
At least this time its just transfers I guess but its still not great.
Copy of a post by @Anarchist on the Monzo Media thread. The big loss is from Santander, but not a great performance from Chase.
Barclays are on there twice ![]()
Do they count accounts switched or actual users being completely lost because people do switches but leave another account open with the same account.
I have switched multiple Chase accounts but keep two open.
Although, really, none of these numbers are big enough to matter to any of the banks
So it is. Good spot.
I also wondered whether it was purely CASS switches, or whether there was some part played by Nationwide absorbing Virgin Money, and similar for Cooperative and Coventry BS.
Accounts switched
Very catchy name…
to be fair, this brings it in line with their offering in the US, and gives more credibility than ‘nutmeg’ in my opinion. Makes sense
