Just over a month ago I signed up to a charity to make donations, I only wanted to do a one of but they talked me into a monthly payment which I thought I would let run for a few months and then cancel. They took the first payment that day and the second has just come out today, but when I checked scheduled payments, it’s not listed, meaning I can’t actually cancel any future payments. I’m a bit lost, when I’ve had charity payments set up in other bank accounts, it’s showed up as a direct debit that I could cancel, but I can’t seem to do that with this one. Not sure if it’s an issue with the app or the charity is at fault here? Any help much appreciated, as I can’t afford to keep up the donation indefinitely.
When you signed up, did you provide bank details (account number and sort code) or your card number?
It sounds like it’s via card if no Direct Debit has been set up, so your best option would be to call the charity to cancel.

You can ask monzo to cancel the continuous payment authority if it’s a card payment, which they must oblige.
Contacting the charity will be the next thing, just so they know you don’t wish to continue.
