Bulk categorise transactions (not just card payments to one merchant)

Apologies if this has already been requested — I know it’s probably “one of those” posts.

When you recategorise a card payment, Monzo asks if you want to apply that category to all past payments from the same merchant, which is great, but it only works for card payments.

I recently opened an account, made two Amazon payments, and had to change both to Shopping manually. It’d be better if this worked more generally — tap a transaction, change its category, and get asked “apply to this 1 payment, or all matching payments?” So if you had 79 transactions from the same merchant sitting in the wrong category, you could fix them all in one go.

You can select all past and future transactions for that same merchant.

This does not apply if it is a connected account.

This is exactly what it does. All your Amazon transactions would go to Shopping, but any made elsewhere wouldn’t.

I think I noticed the issue, if you ‘pay by bank’ on Amazon, it doesn’t show as shopping, it’s shows it as general.

Although I wasn’t able to ‘mass’ select to the 2 transactions I done.

Bank transfers aren’t included in the above process.
