Bill Split not available for Monzo Content Insurance

Issue:

Monzo Content Insurance can’t be added to Bill Split or set as a recurring payment, unlike all other household bills.

Details:
I share household bills with my partner and we manage all of them through Monzo. Every other monthly bill can be bill-split or marked as recurring — except Monzo’s own Content Insurance.

It feels odd that the only bill that can’t be split is the one provided by Monzo itself. This breaks shared budgeting for what is a genuine household expense.
Is this a known limitation, or something expected to be added?

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Monzo app

  2. Navigate to Content Insurance subscription

  3. Attempt to add to Bill Split or mark as recurring

  4. No option available

OS: Android
Device: Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

Expected:
Content Insurance should work like other monthly bills — i.e. be bill-splittable and/or set as recurring.

Actual:
No Bill Split or recurring option available.

We have the same setup for paying our household bills, and I was surprised after taking out a policy today that I couldn’t split the bill with my wife. Even if it was restricted (for some obscure legal or policy reason) to people named on the policy as trusted people who can raise claims, that would be useful.

The ideal flow for adding a trusted person would be for me to be able to choose her from my Monzo contacts / payees (rather than typing her name and date of both), for her to agree to be added to the policy, then for the policy to show up in her account too so that. In the event of a disaster, she’d have ready access to the policy documents and claim workflow. Then a button on the transaction details screen on the main contact’s account (mine) to split with other policy named people would be perfect.
