Yeah I marked this and it’s been 24hrs and didn’t receive a notification. The accounts been open 2 days but had 1 day of playing around the app

The Barclays (or Barclaycard, but I think they’re the same) app is easily my least favourite banking app. It’s so slow and clunky, and looks dated. Needs completely nuking and rebuilding.

It seems to load for me if I tap it or scroll the page.

Tapping it does nothing for me and there’s not enough on the page to warrant a scroll so can’t do that either.

Card sits dormant anyway :man_shrugging:t2:

My partner does, but only has a Barclaycard and no current / savings accounts with them.

Mine doesn’t, but isn’t that much more exciting than grey boxes

It loads fine for me, on Android.

All good iOS here.

I’ve said this time and time again it’s a downright awful app.

Everything I click on gets a scrolling loading symbol like I’m in 1997 trying to load a website on dialup internet.

I honestly don’t know how anyone uses it day to day.

Yeap also never worked on mine (on iOS) for the last few years! Consistency at least I guess!

Barclays Paying in cash at Link ATMs…

Just had an interesting call with Barclays. I couldn’t remember if I had a saver lurking with them.

They looked it up and the saver was closed in 2021, I then remembered doing this in a branch :joy:

I 100% had a current account with them as well which was closed in 2019 (must have thought the saver would close with it at the time) - the agent however said there was no record of this. He said it might be under another address but Clear Score shows it under the same address that I gave the agent.

Made me wonder, could accounts drop off their system after a certain time? E.g. 5 years. I asked the agent but he didn’t really grasp the question.

He told me as my mobile number was already in use I would almost certainly need to visit a branch to finish off opening an account :thinking:

Yes. They will likely go dormant after several years.

It was “closed” by me, by phone I think. I just wondered if they stop keeping the data after a certain time :thinking:

Has anyone got any experience with the Barclays Investment Platform?

It seems cheaper than the Santander one I’m using and I’ve read it has a good bit of ISA record UI?
