All shades of blue are welcome :joy:

Not sure why the image doesn’t show as baby blue 🩵

The Barclays Blue really messes up the mix

It kinda does stand out a little bit, I doubt I’ll keep it there long.

So my replacement Barclays card arrived today and must say I agree with whoever said it is much better in the flesh. I still would’ve preferred the old design without the embossed details and am definitely over the whole vertical design now but I’m happy with it.

The normal card is so much better then the Premier.

Which arrived all scratched.

Has anyone else had this before? It charges my card and then throws this error, has happened twice and the payments aren’t reflecting on my account

Looks like QC issues then, mine also arrived all scratched.

If it hasn’t reflected after 24 hours you’ll just get a refund.

I’ve just opened a Barclays current account as a backup bank. (nationwide was just taking the pi$$ with their pass numbers and access to the app - apparently you have to wait for paper codes being posted within 7working days before the app works) I like instant! So closed nationwide and instantly opened Barclays with immediate access to the app

Anyway… just curious as Barclays now have a direct debit scheduled view of payments. Is this like Monzo where it automatically tells you what’s going out? If so I’d be very grateful if someone can show a screen shot of what it looks like in the app :folded_hands:t4:

Aww that’s great thanks for this! Yeah I’ll prob stick to my Monzo then for the bulk of my direct debits. May just set one up to keep it active and running smoothly lol.

That’s a shame!… just tried ordering a cheque book via the app and apparently you have to order via online banking. So I went on the web page and then I was met with another issue that you can’t order your first cheque book online, it has to be ordered via phone. So I called and after 5mins of her typing she came back to me stating she can’t order a cheque book as they don’t have my signature on file. I told her I opened my account online. She informed me I needed to go into branch to do a signature form for their system.

Can you imagine if I used this account for my money and something were to have gone wrong and I couldn’t use the account due to no signature sample. I’d lose my money. Banks need to be on the ball with this because who actually visits branches now? Why can’t they integrate a signature pad on their forms when people open accounts online? Really bad!

I’m just sticking with Monzo I think coz all the other banks don’t compare at all. Barclays claims instant notifications for money in and out. I’ve made a transfer this morning to Barclays and no notification. Done a switch to Monzo and closing Barclays.

Yep literally 1 day haha. I’m giving up on bank accounts now - non compare to Monzo features lol

Which would happen, never.

But Monzo don’t do chequebooks so what did you need them from Barclays for?

But equally would you want someone to order a chequebook online (if they obtained your details), intercept it, and sign away all your money? Without the bank having your signature on file you wouldn’t be able to prove its fraud? Also you can still access your money? You have a debit card.

Barclays notifications do work instantly. But also on the page where you turn them on it says clearly they take 24 hours to start working

They do not for me.

Sometimes 30s to a minute. Not as bad as Lloyds, but that’s not ā€œinstantā€.

We must have different definitions of instantly. If I get it within one minute, that’s good enough.

The most important question, of course, is whether they’ve updated the Apple Pay image yet

They also don’t vibrate :grimacing:
