I get the same error
It’s not iOS, its their servers having a meltdown
As @ndrw said this is not an iOS16 (or even iOS) issue. It’s a greater issue impacting Android too
Edit:
Or in the words of this twitter user
Ah. Ok. I just updated from developer to public version
Warning. Monzo does not work on app update 4.41.0 on iOS. Have no way of contacting monzo. Have had use the emergencies online website.
It works perfectly for me
Will try and reinstall
Is this iOS 16 public beta?
I read somewhere to be sure you switch on developer mode to avoid any issues? Not sure if that helps at all. It’ll be in your iPhone settings.
I didn’t do that and everything works as it should (except, of course, HSBC apps )
On the very first dev beta, after that it wasn’t needed.
In lastest iOS 16 beta and TestFlight Monzo works for me
Please stop suggesting people turn on Developer Mode. It was necessary to turn it on in the early developer betas to run some TestFlight apps, but no more. A Monzo employee suggesting people turn on something that reduces the security of their device, when they have very little idea of why they are suggesting it, is a bit wrong.
It was only a suggestion based on memory of having to do that at the start, not advice from Monzo.
To add, anyone using beta themselves put their own device at risk.
Just trying to help, I can be a person involved in conversation and generally nothing I say is specific advice from Monzo, that’s what the chat and help sections are for
Yea, that’s all well & good, but on a forum where people don’t know that, and you’re using a Monzo account, that’s not the case. If you feel that way, then have a 2nd account where you can not represent Monzo.
Hey @AlanDoe, can we have some sort of custom user flair for @Carlo1460 that says that all the questionable advice he gives is not coming from Monzo?
I was today years old when I knew I could remove it myself.
But yes, as others noted above (politely) it was a requirement but no longer is.
Chill.
Please don’t - you are a great asset to Monzo and it’s great to see company representation on here
I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.
I was referring to you removing the Monzo Flair
I think it’s good that Monzo employees are comfortable suggesting things that may (or not) also align with company values.
Well I think it was the multi billion $ Apple co that made this a thing, I solely just relayed it.
But nope, it’s the man in the open forum who’s wrong
Anyway, seems a reinstall, or updating your phone’s software fixes most, the remaining few will need to wait.
