Avoid interface jumping

(Matt) #1

I use the ‘Forum Home’ link within the app quite a bit, and every time I get caught out by it jumping down the page when the ‘Suggested for you’ support links load in. (iOS)

Could you have four placeholder, maybe blurred, items in their place until you’ve loaded the data for those items so the buttons beneath don’t jump about?

A thousand times this! I do exactly the same and the amount of times I end up accidentally clicking on a question is far too high.

Ooh! I see your point. I’m very new to Discourse but will have a chat to the team later to see if this is something we can do.

Thanks for the feedback!

FYI, we’re currently working on revamping the Help screen at the moment. I’ll ask around and see if we can get a Sneak Peek for you

I’ve installed the latest iOS update which has the new help section.

Looking good, but it still suffers from the same interface jump as the top items are still loading in separately.

Just to say, since the big box has appeared (currently advertising Apple Pay) this problem has gotten even worse.
