Checked it on a settled one
Even checked it on my HSBC card
Doesn’t seem to show for me
Maybe because it’s all online transactions… will test with Tesco tomorrow

I suspect then, that this just isn’t there for connected account transactions (yet).
Probably more like Apple haven’t yet cleaned up the messy merchant-supplied transaction name.
What is the non-cleansed transaction name in Monzo (the one that comes from the merchant that you see at the bottom of the Monzo transaction screen)? This is probably what gets shared via open banking, rather than the Monzo-cleansed transaction name.
This is strange as neither have a remotely matching name or category. It is unusual considering that Apple has a tonne of merchant data from Apple Pay itself to know the differences, and both are recognised brands.
It’s still beta so at this stage I guess it can be put down to being a bug.
I hope they make it so you can report merchant data for online transactions… what I find Bizarre is it was correct for a few hours, then changed to be incorrect
Yeah maybe they ‘removed’ this button for the very reason that they would receive a flurry of reports.
Interesting to see if it fixes itself on the next beta release.
You can!
What it’s looking like to me is this functionality hasn’t been applied to this new feature yet, so is like more the whims of it being a beta than anything else.
The discrepancy right now seems to be whether the trsnsaction was made on your device, or whether it was provided by a connected account. And I wonder if it might actually have something to do with the fact that this data is only ever stored on your device and not with Apple.
And Drummonds isn’t supported either
They are my only RBS accounts
Someone needs to fix it.
Names etc seam to have improved a great deal on the new beta
Feedback app to Apple is probably the only/best way about doing that
I have it on good authority that the Apple wallet integration needs re authorising every 90 days like other apps like Emma or Snoop.
I have had permission to share it
Tim Cook on Monzo Forum confirmed.
Apple acquiring Monzo confirmed.
How this is implemented matters though. Some apps require going through the full re-authentication flow sending you off to individual bank apps/websites to re-authenticate one by one, which is a pain. Some apps just require a single tap to renew your authorisation for all bank connections in an instant (Emma is an example of this).
This still doesn’t work with Starling, despite it working in the Beta.
