Seeing as I definitely don’t need to upgrade my M2 MBA that’s why I’ve bought an iPad mini instead I’ll buy a new Mac mini at Christmas I think and keep hold of my MBA instead of selling it
Went to the store to check out which MacBook Air colour to get. I had to actually ask one of the staff if the model I was looking at was the sky blue one.
To my eyes it was just silver, with a hint of blue if the light hit it just right.
Was about to order it tonight but then saw a deal for a refurb M3 Air with 16GB of RAM for £725 and went for that instead.
For a computer I don’t even need, it felt like the right price.
@Nicbrown cheers for the heads up on MM. They’re offering decent money for my M1 Air and Mini.
I had one - had done the same.
Found the switching from my high-refresh mobile to that was jarring as hell. The sole reason I returned it when I did in December last year… I couldn’t get on with it & everything just seemed hugely stuttery in comparison.
My response was based on my own experience! You may not care, in which case it’s an amazing device, great size and everything.
Mainly for reading ebooks, I know my Kindle is “better” for that but I genuinely prefer iPhone/iPad screens and it doesn’t bother me or make my eyes ache etc
Also just to browse the web on, watch YouTube etc while on the sofa and in bed and the smaller size is nice to take away on holiday.
I like 120hz on my iPhone 16 Pro but it doesn’t bother me going back to 60hz, I use 60hz screens all day at work
I love my iPad mini, had one since the 3 in 2014. I don’t find going back to it after my iPhone 15 Pro jarring at all, barely even notice the jelly scrolling any more either. If they did one with face ID and ProMotion though it would be even better. Can’t believe how many people I see online still prefer Touch ID over Face ID.
Not to question your preferences, I just personally find that 60Hz isn’t an issue on work displays as office work just doesn’t require low latency refreshing.
Touch screens are where it makes much more difference.
