For real.

It’s £50 a month. So might as well have the newest one!

I could buy on another card and balance transfer it to Barclaycard to make it 0% with a fee :eyes:

Can’t you just get 0% finance from Apple?

Apple is 24 month, Barclays 31

Can’t remember (or find) which thread had discussions about Apple Watch bands, so I’m posting here even though it’s not about an Apple Product, but what are folks experiences with third party Apple Watch bands, or more specifically has anyone ever bought something from Nomad before and can comment on the product experience?

I’ve just ordered my first ever non-Apple watch band from Nomad (it glows blue in the dark and I’m s sucker for those things), and I’m part excited and part apprehensive, so curious to know if folks have any experiences.

Nomad is a pretty solid brand, so I don’t think you’ll have any issues.

I’ve got an orange Nomad sport band. It’s well-made but not as soft and comfortable as the Apple sport band. Comfort is subjective, though, so some people do like the Nomad better.

I’ve been looking at possibly getting an Apple Watch recently but can’t decide whether to get a standard one or the SE, and then again, if I did get a standard one, whether to go for the 8 or the 9, and the latest one doesn’t seem to offer that much different over the previous few generations. Sometimes I wish with such little additions, companies just left products as they are until there is a decent upgrade!l, even if that is 2+ years later!

Not sure how I feel about this one.

I pay monthly. It rolls on forever instead of a two year limit, and if I’m selling my device I don’t have to call Apple to ask for a refund.

So do I but many people want the complete opposite which they’ve always been able to have and save money in the process.

A friend of mine buys an iPhone every 2 years with AC like clockwork, so he will now be paying more.

Did you read the article or just the headline? Zero change for your friend.

Gurman said AppleCare+ will remain available as a one-time purchase on Apple’s online store

If he orders online, of course not everyone does.

Just buy the AppleCare online.

I think it’s better this way. Lots of people keep their phones for more than 2 years now.

You have 60(?) days to buy AC+ online after the initial purchase date when buying a phone from anywhere. So even if you buy it from FB Marketplace you can add AC+ as long as the phone was first sold by an authorised seller in the last 60 days.

Yeah I know

Anyone here got the Milanese band for the Ultra?

I can’t see how Apple can profit from this, even being extremely cynical. In fact, they may potentially lose AC+ sales relying on people to go and buy it afterwards in their own time.

Maybe this is something they’re doing to give the customer a better experience - by not making them feel under pressure in the store to buy it immediately. Maybe it’s to avoid any potential legal issue with mis-selling AC+ (I’m sure they’re all well trained, but they don’t have rely on their Apple Store employees to give the correct information about it when it’s being sold?).
