Itās mostly just added spacing which lets each of the sections breath a bit more, and means that different types of information (accounts vs mini feed vs pots) are a bit more separated.

If youāre in the business of taking requests for future blogs (or posts) itād be fascinating to hear about how youāve built Overview and what control you have on the backend vs needing an app update!
Ooh this would be an interesting blog post! TL;DR: Overview is the probably the most backend-drivable screen in the app and weāve used the same framework for things like cards, pot details and more. However weāve not gone fully backend driven, because thereās still lots of things that clients are better at, e.g. relative date comparisons (2 mins ago) or when you dismiss an item we do it locally first and then in the background after so you get immediate feedback.
Just had a thought. With the new home screen, search is at the top, with monzo accounts and then pots pretty much immediately under it - to me, this implies more than before that the search will search all your monzo transactions, not just main account ones (i.e. pot transactions will be included). But they still arenāt.
For me, the facts that pot transactions canāt be searched and thereās no easy way to find a list of transactions for a given virtual card are both major issues (Searching Pot Transactions), but with search being on a page covering them all now, it seems more important that this is resolved sooner, since I can only imagine many people would assume their pot transactions would be included here.
Hey, yep we completely agree the search experience isnāt great. Weāve got some short term plans to enable searching transactions all account types, and then later weād love to extend the search to look at more than just transactionsā¦
Yeh sorry this has been a really challenging bug. Two people at Monzo have it and Iāve sent them tons of test builds to try and fix. I think weāre very close to a solution now so we should have something in next weekās TestFlight build. In the meantime if itās blocking you Iād recommend unpinning all accounts except one
