Allow payment in full of flex transactions before selecting a plan

Often I’ll use my flex card when paying for things when out and about as I keep money separated into pots for budgeting. Right now, to pay off a transaction in full before you’ve selected a plan, it involves 6 taps, not including transferring money out of a pot to make the payment. If someone wishes to pay in full, there should be no need to select a plan, and users should have this option on the same screen as selecting a plan.

In your flex settings there is/was an option to choose a default payment setting - pay in full was there historically.

It sounds like you’re using Flex as a “spending card”. If you wanted to pay everything in full each time, set that as your default, and then transfer the money into a dedicated “Flex” pot, and pay it off automatically on the payment date.

Doing all your spending on Flex and then paying them off individually all the time doesn’t make financial sense to me. Either spend on normal card, or pay Flex once a month with the default set as “Pay in Full”.

Even if you set your default to “Pay in Full”, you can still change to interest free for eligible transactions individually before their first payment is due.

It is still there (Android) - Tap on Flex card → scroll down to ‘Payment settings’ → tap on ‘Default payment’ → choose the preferred method out of the 3 available (pay in full is the middle one)
