Example questions to AI:

  • How much money did I spend on this day?
  • How much did I spend in this country between X and Y dates?
  • How much money did I spend this month or year excluding spends over £1,000 payments?
  • What are all my payments this year over £1,000?
  • Where do you think I can save money?

I already do this in the following way:

  1. Monzo paid plan - auto export transactions as a GSheet to GDrive enabled
  2. Download the latest Monzo Transactions GSheet as a PDF, re-upload to GDrive
  3. Add GDrive PDF file as a source to NotebookLM (to a dedicated ‘Monzo Query’ Notebook)
  4. Perform step 2 whenever you want to run a query, then ask away!

Other LLM’s will be able to do the same, you’ll probably have to use a file format and format the file to best suit the LLM being used.

Doesn’t Starling have this? I don’t want monzo to be Starling.

Starling’s implementation is fairly simple so far, the use of “yet” below implies more is to come though:

That’s pretty intuitive though.

As long as it can create dynamic visualisations, and lets you save them, count me in!

(This would be a gamechanger for connected accounts and Trends, and would persuade me to upgrade).
