Adjust amount when new person added to Running Split

When new people are added to a running split, the split doesn’t automatically give you the option to add the new person to transactions that were added to the split before they were.

E.g. say I have a running split with a few friends for buying birthday presents for someone, and I add a few transactions. Then I find out someone else wants to contribute, so I add them to the split too, but now if I go back to edit the transactions I’d previously added, I can’t include the new person, meaning I have to delete the old transactions and re-add them in order for the new person to be included.

It would be nice if this could be adjusted to make the splits more user-friendly!

I half-agree. The splits should be a little more user-friendly. Being able to edit a split without deleting and readding would be great, but if adding a new person to the split auto-updated all existing splits to include them, that might cause issues.
Example: I spent £60 at a store, £10 of that is something personal of mine, so it’s just the other £50 that needs to be split. That means it’s £35/£25 for the split.
A new friend gets added, how should the split be updated automatically by Monzo?

For me, auto-update, no. But manually editing existing splits without removing and readding, yes.
