I’m organising a group holiday using a Monzo Split. Some members of the group have Monzo accounts, but others do not.
Several of the non-Monzo participants have already paid me directly via bank transfer, but I can’t find a way to record or mark their contributions as paid within the Split. As a result, the Split no longer accurately reflects who still owes money.
It would be really useful if Split organisers could manually mark non-Monzo participants as paid (either fully or partially) when they have settled outside of Monzo. This would make Splits much more effective for managing group expenses where not everyone uses Monzo.
From a wider perspective, group trips and shared expenses are often situations where Monzo users introduce the app to friends who don’t currently bank with Monzo. The current experience can feel a little clunky when some participants are outside the Monzo ecosystem, whereas a smoother process would showcase one of Monzo’s strongest features and potentially encourage wider adoption.
Is there currently a way to do this that I’ve missed, or would others find this feature useful too?

Very agreed on this. Often even if I send the non-Monzo payment link, a friend will just transfer me using my details they have saved in their banking app. Only option right now is to then cancel the split once everyone has paid and I don’t need it sitting there reminding me anymore.
So yes, think this would be super helpful.
