30 day option for repeating payments (or Custom) for iOS

I have a card payment that comes every 30 days (Voxi). But when setting this up as a regular payment so that budgeting can be accurate, there is only option for every month or every 4 weeks. None that are 30 days, so my due date for that specific payment will mostly be incorrect.

I think it would be good if there was a 30 day option, or a way we can select a custom period.

Thanks.

It’s still technically monthly and budgeted for monthly.

Do you utilise Pots for this?

Budgeting wise, the repeating subscription shouldn’t matter. Keep it to your pay cycle (monthly, every 4 weeks, etc.).
On the VOXI transaction, you can set this as a repeating subscription for 30 days, so if you end up with 2 payments in a ā€œbudget monthā€, that will be taken into account automatically then.

Hopefully, that makes sense.

There doesn’t seem to be an option in the app to select every 30 days though, that’s my issue. Unless there is and you can point me in the right direction. All I can see is every month (which would be the same day every month which this isnt) or every 4 weeks.

Thanks

Are you looking at ā€œbudgetā€ or ā€œtrendsā€ or an individual transaction?

If you find an individual transaction for VOXI in your feed, then click on it, you should see ā€œRepeating subscriptionsā€, If it’s not on, turn it on, and then under ā€œrepeatsā€ you choose Days, weeks, months of year, and a manual selector for the days. I can choose days and then choose 30, and it saves.

Oh? I don’t have the option for the manual selector.

Interesting. Not sure if it’s an Android vs iPhone thing, or a recent change in the beta app, but I can 100% select any number of days, weeks, months or years.

How frustrating! I’ve just installed the Beta app through test flight to check and can confirm no change, still no option. So it probably is because I’m on iOS, assuming you’re on Android?

Yup, Android, using beta app (7.10.0)

Yeah, same beta version here . Hopefully this feedback will get seen!

Think it’s always been an android thing? @davidwalton :eyes:

It has indeed. Here’s a grab of a repeating transaction timeframe selector on the superior platform:

Thanks for the grab, interesting.

Weird that there’s a discrepancy between both systems, especially for something seemingly small like this.

I can only assume it’s something in the back end that makes it difficult to have as much customisation (iOS can be like that annoyingly haha) or just something that was once done differently and just not changed.

Don’t get me started on the subject of :monzo: parity - Android/iOS, Personal/Joint - my blood pressure increases significantly
