I got charged £1 for the bus however my receipt that the driver gave me says £9.60 not £1 this was in Leeds and my first ever bus since I moved here last year so I’m slightly confused
Some transport companies do a minimum charge to your card first and then update it in a day or so. If you keep an eye out you should see it being updated
Our company doe’s the same, then if you use the bus throughout the day, and use the same card each time, it works out the cheapest option for your day’s travel.
It’s like an authorisation charge, Amber Cars do the same thing, they overcharged me for a trip couple of weeks ago. Took until a week later for them to refund the difference
When you pay at pump this often happens too. A £1 authorisation on the card when you first put it in, and the next day it updates to whatever you spent.
It’s for £100 when I use the Shell Go+ app! It does update the next day, though.
You can change that - it reserves whatever you have set as the maximum filling value.
